     Sheriff Andy Jackson explains details of the jail building to reporter Linda Doman.  The modern Coos County jail facilities are located in Coquille, Oregon.  It was opened on May 1st 1998.  It is three stories high and can house 179 adult and 12 juvenile inmates.  It has a separate female wing which is sometimes referred to as "jail within a jail"
